Threema: Recover deleted messages - how it works

Deleted messages and chats can be partially restored in Threema. We'll show you the options and how to do it.

Recover deleted messages in Threema

• If you have deleted individual messages or an entire chat in Threema, restoration is only possible with a Threema backup. In addition to the backup, you also need the associated password.
• If there is a backup, first delete the Threema app. Then download the latest version of Threema. The import of the backup is now offered to you directly.
• If you do not have a backup of Threema or if the desired messages are not contained there, you can also contact the chat partner. They can simply send you their chat history by email.
