Thunderbird: Deactivate automatic update - how it works
If Thunderbird updates always come at the wrong moment, then simply deactivate the automatic updates. In this article, we explain which settings you need to change.
Deactivate automatic update - in 5 steps
- Open Thunderbird and click on "Tools" in the menu bar.
- Then click on "Settings".
- Select the "Update" tab under "Advanced".
- Remove the check mark under "Thunderbird" under "Automatically check for updates for".
- Alternatively, you can leave the check mark at "Thunderbird" and instead select the option "Ask what should be done" in the lower area "If updates for Thunderbird are available".
