Thunderbird: Export emails to Outlook - Here's how
Unfortunately there is no function in Thunderbird with which you can export the mails directly to Outlook. But we will show you how it works with a small tool.
Export emails from Thunderbird to Outlook
Download the free MailStore Home program. The tool saves your messages from Thunderbird and then pastes them into Outlook. You can choose the portable version during installation. So the program is not installed directly on your PC and leaves no traces.
- Start MailStore Home and you will find the "Archive e-mails" button in the middle.
- Then select "Thunderbird" from the "E-Mail programs" and decide which folders you want to archive.
- An entry appears in the list below using the "Finish" button. Double-click to start archiving. Depending on the number and size of the emails, this can take a few minutes to several hours.
- You will then find the archived mails on the left side of the program.
- Right-click on the archive and select "Microsoft Outlook" under "Export to".
- The export to Outlook usually takes a little longer than the import from Thunderbird. When the process is complete, your emails have been successfully transferred from Thunderbird to Outlook.
