Thunderbird error "Couldn't load XPCOM" - what to do?
The error "Couldn't load XPCOM" says that there is a problem with your Thunderbird profile and the program therefore cannot be opened.
- To fix this error, first download the free Revo Uninstaller tool and install it on your PC.
- After successful installation, open the tool and wait for the list of installed programs to be created. Then search for "Thunderbird" and right click on it.
- Then select "Advanced" as the uninstallation method and follow the instructions.
- After uninstalling Thunderbird from the PC, Revo Uninstaller searches your PC for leftover files, folders and registry entries.
- You can then remove them from the PC with "Mark all" and "Delete".
- As soon as you have completed the complete uninstallation, you can download the latest version of Thunderbird after a PC restart and install it as usual. After that, the error should be gone.
