Thunderbird: Deleting folders is not possible
The error occurs because only individual mails and no folders are accepted in the recycle bin. However, you can easily bypass the trash.
- Click on the "Tools" category at the top of the menu bar and select the "Account Settings". If the bar is hidden, first tap the "Alt" key.
- Now select the category "Server Settings" under the desired mail account on the left.
- Here you will find the category "Server Settings" again. Activate the "Remove immediately" option under "When deleting a message".
- If you click the "OK" button, your settings are saved.
- Now you can easily and permanently delete the folder. The trash is simply bypassed.
- Then repeat the steps again and deactivate the "Remove immediately" option so that the recycle bin is activated again.
