What to do if Thunderbird crashes?
Follow our tricks below to get Thunderbird working reliably again quickly:
- A simple restart of Thunderbird can already lead to the desired success.

- Therefore, install the latest version of Thunderbird from our download area.
- Since Thunderbird works with important Windows components, you should check your PC regularly for updates and install them.
- There may also be a conflict with another program. Therefore, close all programs the next time you start to check this.

Uninstall Thunderbird completely - this is how you proceed
If you haven't been able to solve the crash problem yet, you should reinstall Thunderbird. First you should remove the program including all residues.
- The Revo Uninstaller tool will help you here. Download and install it.
- When the installation is complete, start the tool and look for "Thunderbird" in the list of installed programs.
- Once you find it, double click on it. Then select "Moderate" as the method.
- The uninstall process will now start. Make sure that all files and registry entries are deleted. You have to mark them manually and remove them from the PC with "Delete".
