If you use the tilde character (~) more often on your Mac, you can simply type it on the keyboard instead of constantly looking for it. We'll show you how it's done.

- Hold down the [Alt] key on the bottom left of the keyboard, and then tap the letter [N]. Then the [~] is inserted.
- If you do not press the spacebar after the command but press the [N] again, the Spanish letter ñ is inserted.
