There are several alternatives to the to-do list provider "Todoist". We present the three best alternative to-do tools.
Evernote - a strong opponent for Todoist
- Evernote and Todoist are basically very similar, because to-do lists with reminders can be set up and synchronized with both. However, you can only create tasks at Todoist.
- In Evernote, on the other hand, you can not only take normal notes, but also create handwritten notes and reminders. Evernote also gives you the option to add any files and photos to a notebook.
- You can either organize your notes in notebooks or view all the notes at once.
- Evernote is available as an app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone. There is also a program for Windows and Mac. You can also use it in the browser.
Google's Todoist alternative to Todoist: Google Keep
- Google Keep is also an excellent alternative to Todoist. Here you can not only add simple reminders, but also handwritten notes, voice memos and photos.
- Google Keep is the only one of the three rivals to have one feature: the location reminder. It works very simply: If you have installed the app on your smartphone and are in a previously set location, you will get a reminder.
- Google Keep shows you your reminders and notes on a kind of pin board. So you always have everything in view. If you want to create order, you can add tags to the individual elements. So you don't miss anything anymore.
- You can manage your notes in Google Keep in the Android or iOS app or in the browser.
TaskCoach - the open source alternative to Todoist
- TaskCoach is a successful open source project that can easily keep up with Todoist. This enables you to create tasks and classify them according to various criteria. You can also specify the progress of the task.
- The filter functions have proven to be quite practical. For example, you can display the most urgent or the oldest tasks. TaskCoach can filter according to many criteria.
- The TaskCoach interface is simple and functional. In places there are still shortcomings.
- TaskCoach can be downloaded as an app for Android or as a program for Windows, Linux and OS X.
