Tomodachi Life: How to Import Mii Figures from Your Wii U
The crazy life simulation Tomodachi Life for the 3DS lives from the fact that you import as many Miis as possible from the Wii U. We show you how you can transfer the Miis from the home console to your game.
Send Miis from Wii U to 3DS
The Miis are stored on the Wii U in the Mii Maker and can be managed from here. So start the Mii Maker on the Wii U first.
- In the main menu of the Mii Maker you have two options to send your Miis from the Wii U to the 3DS. The simplest variant is done via the menu item "Send / receive". Then select the "Connect to Nintendo 3DS" option.
- A step-by-step illustrated explanation follows. To receive a Mii from the Wii U on the Nintendo 3DS, start the Mii Maker on the Nintendo 3DS and select the "Send / Receive" option.
- Now select the "Mii Maker" option and then "Search for players". The Nintendo 3DS will now search for your Wii U and, if successful, then display it in the list that you then select.
- On the Wii U you can now select the Mii you want and send it to your Nintendo 3DS. If a Mii has been successfully sent, it now appears in the Mii Maker of the Nintendo 3DS.
- In this way, you can send as many Miis as you like until you break the connection.
Import received Mii into Tomodachi Life
To move the received Mii into an apartment in Tomodachi Life, you must now go to the Mii apartments in the game.
- Choose one of the free apartments. Instead of creating a new Mii, simply import the Mii you just transferred from the Mii Maker of your Nintendo 3DS.
