"Too Good To Go" wants to save food from being thrown away. But sometimes you or a provider have to cancel an order. In just a few steps, you can undo an order and find out what happens if you don't receive your portion.
"Too Good To Go": Cancel an order
It can quickly happen that you place an order and order food via the "Too Good To Go" app that you ultimately do not want or cannot pick up for various reasons. In such a case, you can cancel the order at any time.
- To do this, open the "Too Good To Go" app and search for your proof of purchase. This is usually shown directly above the menu bar.
- If this is not the case, select the "More" item in the menu bar. Under "Proof of Purchase" you will now find your proof of order and tap on it.
- In addition to the address, the pick-up period, the price and the order ID, you will find the "Cancel order" option below the pick-up countdown. Important: You can only cancel up to 3 hours before the pick-up period.
- If you touch the small field, a window opens in which "Too Good To Go" asks why you canceled. You do not have to give a reason here, but you can choose whether it is an accidental purchase or the pick-up time cannot be met by you.
- Finally, you confirm that you are canceling the order by clicking on "Cancel order". The amount will be repaid to you at different speeds depending on the payment method. So it can take up to 10 days until the money is back in your account.
- "Too Good To Go" will send you an email confirming the cancellation.

In some cases, a company may not be able to complete an order. For example if all groceries could be sold in the normal shop. This is good for the environment either way, but for you the cancellation naturally has consequences.
- If the store can sell all meals, you may have nothing left. If so, you will receive a message from "Too Good To Go" one hour before the pickup period.
- Similar to a cancellation of your own, the money will be refunded in the shortest possible time in such a case.
