Tips & Tricks: Set up Touch ID on iPhone
- Lock code: Before you set up Touch ID, you need a lock code. If this is not yet the case, open the "Settings" and under "Touch ID & Password" select the option "Activate code".
- Procedure: Always put your finger on the sensor and keep it still until the iPhone vibrates. You can then lift your finger again and put it on again calmly. Little by little the fingerprint fills up.
- Tilt: When setting up a finger, you need to put it on several times. Use a few passes to tilt your finger slightly in all four directions when you hang up.
- Hygiene: When setting up the fingerprints, make sure that your fingers are neither damp, nor greasy or creamed. Otherwise, the sensor can read your fingerprint poorly or not at all. The sensor should also be wiped off beforehand.
- Other tips: With Touch ID you can not only save the five fingers. With a little trick, you can save more than 5 fingers. For a better order, you can name the fingerprints individually.
