Merge TS files - how it works
If you want to merge several TS files, this works both with a simple Windows command and with external freeware. We'll show you both ways.
Windows: Merge TS files
You can use the command prompt to merge TS files in Windows with a single command. In this example, we have moved the individual files Film1, Film2 and Film3 to the same folder.
- Press the [Windows] and [E] keys simultaneously so that the Explorer opens.
- Navigate here to the folder with the TS files and look for the Shift key on the keyboard.
- Hold down [Shift] and right-click in an empty area of the folder.
- Then select the "Open Command Prompt Here" option. Then enter the following command:
- copy / b Film1.ts + Film2.ts + Film3.ts
- If you confirm with the [Enter] key, the files are combined in one file.
Merge TS files with freeware
Below we show you how to combine TS files with the free TS converter. Alternatively, you can also use the ProjectX program or the TSSplitter.
- Download the free TS converter and install the program.
- You can load the individual videos into the program using the plus button.
- If necessary, mark all the videos and click on the "Merge" button below.
- Optionally, you can now make further settings for format and quality.
- The individual TS files are combined using the "Convert" button.
If you want to merge TS files and then convert them to a video format such as AVI or MPEG, the easiest way to do this is with the Freemake Video Converter.
