TV has too few HDMI connections - what to do?
With the many devices that now use HDMI, it can happen that there are too few HDMI connections on the TV set. We'll show you what you can do then.
Problem: Too few HDMI connections on the TV
Older TV sets in particular often have too few HDMI connections on the TV. Back then, you just didn't use that many devices that support HDMI. But since almost every device uses HDMI today, a solution has to be found.
TV: Too few HDMI connections - the solution
You can get the problem of the few HDMI connections on the TV set under control with an HDMI distributor, also known as a switcher. It allows you to connect multiple devices using an HDMI cable. But there is only one cable that goes directly into the TV.
- To switch between the different devices, use a small remote control, which is included in the scope of delivery.
- The small distributors are even supposed to transmit the signals losslessly, so that you can watch TV as usual and without compromising.
- You can get a good HDMI distributor with 3 HDMI inputs for around 18 euros.
By the way, there are different types of HDMI. We'll show you the differences between the HDMI versions in another practical tip.
