Hide TV - the best tips for secret TVs
If you want to hide your TV, there are different approaches. It is important that the television disappears inconspicuously, but can reappear just as quickly if you want to use it. We'll show you the options.
Hide TV behind picture
- Find a sufficiently large picture the size of the TV with a frame. Images on canvas are best suited for this. These already have a large frame that can be wonderfully hung over a television.
- For pictures where it is not so easy to hang up, you can carefully screw screws into the frame from behind. In order not to scratch the TV, you can put a small piece of garden hose over the screws.
Hide the TV in the closet
- Put your TV in a closet. Then you can open the doors during use and then close them again. Built-in wardrobes, which were specially designed for TV accommodation, are particularly recommended here.
- In the case of particularly solid cupboards, the television can even be attached to the rear wall. For this you need a wall bracket for your TV.
Hide TV behind curtain
- You can also hide the TV behind a curtain. This must protrude far enough from the side of the window that it really hides the TV.
- If the curtain rod is too short, you can replace it with a longer one. An easier option would be to screw a hook into the wall to attach the curtain so that it hides the TV.
Place potted plants in front of the television
- Place several potted plants in front of the TV. This not only creates a cozy atmosphere, but also effectively hides the television.
- You can also place the potted plants on a roller board. So you can quickly and easily push the plants aside and watch TV again if necessary.
