Twitch has two types of subscriptions: Twitch Turbo and subscriptions to the individual streamers. You can cancel both services at any time if you no longer want to use them. We'll show you exactly how this works in the following.
Twitch Turbo: cancel subscription
Twitch Turbo currently costs 8.99 euros per month and removes all advertising from the streams and from the website. In addition, new smileys and chat colors can be used. Streamers can also save their videos on Twitch.tv for up to 60 days. If you no longer need the premium functions, you can cancel the subscription.
- To do this, log in to the Twitch website with your account data.
- Then click on your account name in the top right corner and select the "Settings" option.
- There you switch to the "Turbo" tab and click on "Cancel Turbo".
- Your subscription will expire next month and Twitch will no longer withdraw money from your account.
Subscription to Twitch: cancel user subscriptions
If you want to support your favorite streamers on Twitch, you can subscribe to their channel. For a fee of 4.99 euros per month, you will then receive notifications as soon as a stream begins and you can use channel-specific smileys. These subscriptions can also be canceled every month:
- To do this, open the Twitch website and log in with your account data.
- In the top right click on your user name and then on "Settings".
- In the left column go to the small arrow under "Messages" and then to "Subscriptions".
- Here you will find all active subscriptions. By clicking on the corresponding entry, you can cancel the service at the end of the billing month.
We will show you how to delete your Twitch account afterwards in the next article.
