Stream Twitch to Samsung TV - Here's how
If you also want to stream Twitch on your Samsung TV, there is unfortunately no official app. We'll show you how to install Twitch on your Smart TV.
Step 1: prepare Samsung TV for Twitch-Stream
To follow the instructions below, you need a Samsung Smart TV with SmartHub. This is the case if you can start apps on your TV. Note that the instructions may vary slightly depending on the TV set.
- Turn on your Samsung TV and press the menu button on your remote control.
- Select the "Samsung account" under "SmartHUB" and click on "Register".
- Enter "develop" as the user and leave the password field blank. If that doesn't work, use "develop" as the password.
- You can now also install apps from unofficial sources. You can find the next steps in the next paragraph.
Step 2: install the Twitch app on Samsung TV
The Twitch app is downloaded via the IP address 188.226.130.26. Since the TV sets from Samsung differ depending on their age, there are three possible ways to install the app below. If you then start the application, it may take a few minutes for the first time to be ready for use.
- Press the SmartHUB button on the remote control and select the "More apps" item. In the "Options" you will find the "IP settings". Enter the above IP address and confirm the process.
- If that doesn't work, switch back to the SmartHub. If you press and hold the button to confirm on any app, the option "IP settings" appears.
- If that doesn't work either, press the "Tools" button on your remote control. In the menu you will now find the item "Development" or "Development". Enter the IP address here.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to connect your Samsung TV to your smartphone or tablet.
