Create your own emoticons on Twitch - how it works
To be able to create your own emotes on Twitch, you must be a Twitch partner.
- The amount of emotes you can set depends on so-called "subscriber points".
- For example, viewers who only follow you count as 1 point. Subscribers who pay monthly, on the other hand, get more - for every viewer who pays € 9.99 a month, you get 2 points and for everyone who pays € 24.99, you get 6 points.
- Even if you have no subscriber points yet but are a Twitch partner, you can already submit 2 emotes.
How to prepare your emoticon for Twitch
- You can either create your own emoticons yourself or hire an artist to do them.
- The result should be in PNG format and should not exceed 25 KB.
- On Twitch you have to submit the result in three sizes: 28x28px, 56x56 px and 112x112 px.
- For your emoticon, you should choose a name that can consist of the letters A to Z and numbers from zero to nine, but in total a maximum of 20 characters.
- To upload the emoticons, go to "Dashboard"> "Settings"> "Emoticons"> "Edit". Don't forget to save your changes. In the same menu you can exchange or delete your existing emoticons.
You must adhere to these guidelines
- Like all content on Twitch, your emoticons must comply with the Twitch community guidelines.
- You must not violate the rights of others. Use only an emoticon created by you or for you and pay attention to the copyrights.
- You may not use animations, individual letters or characters, and your emoticon must not be based on the global Twitch emoticons.
