A nightbot at Twitch is particularly important for chat, but also for many other functions. In our article we show you how to set up your own nightbot and how to use it.
Set up Nightbot at Twitch
Setting up the nightbot for your Twitch channel is not difficult. To do this, first open the website of the Nightbot, where you can then log in with your Twitch channel.
- The next step is to authorize the Nightbot. The website automatically leads you to this setting.
- Now you can set up the Nightbot with the commands in the left-aligned menu. A variety of different commands are available to you.
- If you want to use the Nightbot for your chat, for example, you can configure it by clicking on "Spam Protection". Set the security levels here and which events or words the nightbot should react to and how. This is especially helpful at the beginning if you may not have moderators for your stream yet.
Twitch: Use the nightbot
In addition to the use for chat, the Nightbot offers a lot of other features. You can configure any command, which personalizes your channel even more.
- For example, if you’re frequently asked about something in chat, you can set up an automated answer. The viewers then simply write the command, for example with! Specs, to see your PC configuration.
- The good thing is that you can personalize the names of the individual commands. For example, if you don't want to just have! Social for your social media accounts, just think of your own name.
- The nightbot can also provide music. Users can request a song with! Sr. You can decide for yourself where your viewers can get the song from. YouTube is of course popular, but Soundcloud and Spotify are also implemented in the Nightbot.
- With the "Auto-DJ" function, the Nightbot then plays your own channel playlist. However, as soon as viewers express song requests, they are played and classified as a priority.
