Twitch Prime: overview of costs, loot, games and benefits

Since the online retailer Amazon took over the streaming service Twitch, Twitch Prime has become free for many users. We will show you the advantages of the subscription and what costs are normally incurred.

What does Twitch Prime cost?

The subscription model was originally called Twitch Turbo. Since Twitch was bought by Amazon in 2014, the paid subscription has been called Twitch Prime.

• Amazon has integrated Twitch into its own prime service. Twitch Prime is no longer available on its own, but only as part of Amazon Prime.
• In addition to Twitch Prime, you also get access to all the advantages of Amazon Prime. This includes free shipping, access to Prime Music and Prime Video.
• If you're already an Amazon Prime customer, don't pay another cent for Twitch Prime. On the following Twitch Prime website, all you have to do is log in with your Amazon account.
• If you are not yet an Amazon Prime customer, you will also become an Amazon customer through Twitch Prime. The subscription costs 7.99 euros per month. If you opt for the annual subscription, you pay 69 euros per year. The first 30 days are free of charge, you can also simply cancel your subscription during the trial phase.

Twitch Prime: games, loot and no ads

• The biggest advantage of Twitch Prime is advertising. This no longer exists here.
• The monthly loot is also interesting. This includes free game content, whole games or access to early access games. Skins, vehicles and characters for selected games are also often included.
• You will receive a free channel subscription every 30 days. Among other things, this allows you to send a personalized message to the streamer.
• In the chat you are marked as a prime customer by a crown. You will also receive a larger selection of colors and other emoticons.
• If you buy a physical game from Amazon and not a key, you will always receive a 2 euro discount. The discount applies in the pre-order phase and two weeks after the release.
