Twitch Verified: How to get status
Badges next to a name indicate a specific status of the respective user to Twitch. This enables you to recognize moderators or paying premium users, for example. There is also a Verified badge, but you cannot get it easily.
- The verified status only identifies Twitch partners. Neither normal users nor Twitch affiliates can use the associated badge.
- If you want to become a partner of Twitch, you have to actively apply for this status. However, this is subject to certain conditions: For example, you have to be able to show high numbers of viewers on a regular basis and, of course, you have to stream regularly.
- If you have been accepted as a Twitch partner, you will automatically be assigned Verified status. However, the badge does not give you any additional advantages.
The Kappa smiley is sometimes used in the Twitch chats. You can find out what this is all about in the next practical tip.
