Ubuntu: Activate automatic updates - how it works
- On the start page, navigate to "Applications & Updates" in the menu and select the "Updates" tab.
- First, make sure that all three checkmarks under "Install updates from" are checked.
- Now select the "Download and install automatically" option from the pull-down menu behind "When security updates are available".
- In order to have all updates installed automatically, you can activate the same option behind "If other updates are available".
- Finally, you have to confirm the change by entering your administrator password.
