Ubuntu: Deactivate Bluetooth after system start
With Ubuntu, you can also deactivate the Bluetooth adapter automatically after system startup. Unfortunately, the system is set by default so that it does not remember whether you had deactivated the Bluetooth function before starting.
Only possible via script: Deactivate Bluetooth automatically
If you want to start services or scripts automatically after you have started Ubuntu, you can use the "rc.local" file. Commands that you type in this file before "exit 0" are automatically started with root rights. You can also deactivate the Bluetooth adapter in it:
- Open the text file with root rights in the terminal. For example, you can use "gedit" as an editor.
- The corresponding command line with this program would be "sudo gedit /etc/rc.local". Confirm your entry with [Enter] and type in your root password.
- Now - as in the screenshot - add the command "rfkill block bluetooth" before "exit 0" and save the file.
- The Bluetooth icon will still appear in the top task bar and you can activate the adapter there if you need it.
