Ubuntu: change date and time
An incorrect time setting is annoying - on Ubuntu, the date and time can be changed via the system settings. Our instructions will help you with this.
Wrong time and date on Ubuntu - so turn the time back
Click the gear icon on the right side of the Ubuntu toolbar to open the settings.
- Then click on "Time & Date" in the "System" area.
- The time is usually taken "automatically from the Internet".
- However, you can set the "Manual" option and change the current time using the plus and minus symbols.
- The date can be set directly next to it.
- The changes often only occur after a restart.
