Obtain an IP address automatically on Ubuntu
To obtain your IP address automatically via DHCP, you only have to do the following steps:
- To start, open a terminal with [CTRL] + [ALT] + [T].
- Enter "unity-control-center" here and press [Enter].
- Then click on "Network" and then on the bottom right on "Options".
- Now select the "IPv4 settings" tab. Under "Method" you have to select "Automatic (DHCP)".
- Finally, to save the setting, click on "Save".
