Ubuntu: Find the kernel version in the system information
The fastest way to view the kernel version of Ubuntu is through the system information. Only two steps are necessary:
- Open the "System Information" program on Ubuntu by searching for this command in the start menu.
- In addition to the item "Linux Kernel" you can read the kernel version.
Determine the kernel version in the terminal
Alternatively, you can also identify the kernel version of Ubuntu in the terminal.
- First start the terminal on your Linux computer with the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [T].
- Now enter the command "uname -r" and confirm the entry.
- The terminal now shows you the current kernel version.
