Ubuntu: Change contrast under Linux
In this practical tip you will learn how to change the contrast in the Linux distribution Ubuntu. Alternatively, you can select the settings directly on your screen.
How to change the contrast in Ubuntu
Shiny screens in the sun need low contrast. We will show you how to set it in the following steps.
- Open the system settings by pressing the small gear wheel in the top right corner and selecting "System settings ...".
- You will find the "Contrast" area in the access aids.
- In the "View" tab, choose between four basic settings under "Contrast" (see picture).
- Ubuntu takes over your settings immediately. You no longer have to confirm anything.
