Ubuntu: connect network drive - how it works
- Make sure your computer is on the right network.
- Then open the file explorer and click on "Other Places" in the side menu. All available hard disk partitions and network drives are now displayed here.
- Press on the respective server to connect to it or click on "Windows network" if you want to access a Windows computer.
- If the server is not displayed, simply enter the respective IP address below and then press »Connect«.
- Now you have to enter your login data and can then access your directories.
- Tip: To avoid having to search for the network drives every time, we recommend adding a bookmark. To do this, open the corresponding network drive. Then right-click on the corresponding entry in the list on the left and press »Add bookmark«.
