The NetworkManager can be used to set up the network under Ubuntu.
- If your Ubuntu distribution is not yet installed, you can retrofit it with the command »sudo apt-get install network-manager network-manager-gnome -y«.
- The NetworkManager is available as a link in your taskbar by default. Alternatively, you can start it with »nm-applet«.
- In NetworkManager you can now add new connections or edit existing ones.
- You can find the wired connections under the "Wired" tab and all wireless networks under "Wireless". Simply click on "Add" and enter the network connection information.
