Ubuntu: keyboard shortcut for a screenshot
Ubuntu, like Windows, also comes with an integrated screenshot function. You can take the perfect screenshot with various key combinations.
Screenshot quick and easy with Ubuntu on-board resources
One button is enough to photograph the entire screen and save the image.
- Press the "Print" button. Then a window opens and you can name and save the picture.
- If you only want to photograph part of the screen, press the key combination "Alt + Druck"
Trick 17 - take screenshot via terminal
To take a screenshot with terminal commands, proceed as follows.
- Install the programs ImageMagick and fbgrab.
- Enter the command "sudo cat / dev / vcs1> /Bildschirmfoto.txt" in the terminal.
- Now you have a text file that you can use fbgrab to convert into a graphic. To do this, enter the command "fbgrab Screenshot.webp" in the terminal.
