Ubuntu: Show users - how it works
So that you don't lose track of your created accounts in Ubuntu, you can have all users displayed. In this practical tip, we reveal exactly how this works.
Show users in Ubuntu
You can find users similar to Windows in the system settings of Ubuntu:
- To do this, click on the dash symbol in your program bar (see picture) and enter the term "system settings".
- In the system settings you will find the "User" button at the bottom under "System". Click on it.
- You will see all users listed. The respective authorization is next to "account type". Note: The term "system administrator" in Ubuntu refers to an administrator.
- If you want to manage users, for example to change passwords or create a new user, choose the lock symbol.
The instructions refer to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Another article will tell you how to change your username on Ubuntu.
