In this practical tip, we will show you how to install a suitable WLAN driver on Ubuntu.
How to install a WiFi driver on Ubuntu
First switch to "System Settings" and click on "Software & Updates".
- Then click on the "Ubuntu Software" tab and make sure that "Main server" is set for "Download from".
- Now navigate to the "Additional drivers" tab.
- Here you will find all devices with drivers that are not pre-installed.
- You can either choose not to use the device or install a driver from another source instead. Select the latter and click "Apply changes".
- You may have to restart your device again. The driver of the WLAN card should now be installed correctly.
