Take macro pictures with reverse ring
You can take very good macro shots with your reversing ring or retro adapter. To get started with macro photography, you should first use a reversing ring as they are much cheaper than an extra lens.
- Before you get a reversing ring, you should test your lenses. To do this, hold the lens of your camera upside down in front of the bayonet. You will now see your object greatly enlarged in the display. You should only buy a retro adapter if you are satisfied with the result. It holds your lens in this position.
- However, the autofocus of a camera no longer works due to the retro adapter. So you have to focus your object manually.
- Most of the time, the zoom and the sharpening wheel can only be turned with difficulty using the retro adapter. For this you should hold the lens with one hand and turn it with the other. Otherwise you may change the zoom when focusing.
- With the retro adapter you also need a lot more light. This is due to the now smaller opening at the lens entrance. So you should illuminate your object very well. Alternatively, you can use a flash. But be careful not to create shadows with the lens.
- Attach the lens to the adapter very carefully. Otherwise you will destroy the filter thread.
