Transfer data from iPhone to Android smartphone using Sony Xperia Transfer
If your new Android smartphone is one of the Sony Xperia series, you can use the so-called Xperia Transfer:
- To do this, you first need to backup your iPhone in iTunes. In another practical tip, we will show you how.
- Then download the Sony PC Companion or the Sony Bridge for Mac.
- Start the program and connect your Xperia Smartpone to the PC. Then choose "Xperia Transfer".
- Search for your iPhone's iTunes backup and choose what you want to transfer.
Samsung Smart Switch - from iPhone to Samsung smartphone
Samsung also offers a switch program:

HTC: Switch from iPhone with HTC Sync Manager
With the "HTC Sync Manager" you are also prepared for the switch with your HTC:
- You need a backup of your iPhone via iTunes. Make sure that the "Encrypt iPhone Backup" setting is not activated in iTunes.
- Then download and install the software.
- Then connect your HTC smartphone to the PC. The "HTC Sync Manager" starts automatically.
- Click the "More" tab and "Transfer".
- If you have not yet created a backup, you can do so now. Otherwise, you can skip this step and select a backup. Then choose which data you want to transfer.
- You can choose from your music and your iTunes playlists, your contacts, pictures and videos, SMS, bookmarks and your appointments. Click on "Start" to start the transfer.
- Users with the user interface Sense 5.0 or higher can transfer the desired content from the iPhone via Bluetooth on their smartphone via "Transfer content".
