UMTS router: 3 fast models in comparison
You don't necessarily have to spend a lot of money on UMTS routers. In this article we present three quick models in comparison.
1. UMTS router: TP-Link TL-MR3420
- The TP-Link TL-MR3420 has two antennas and enables WLANs with up to 300 Mbit / s.
- You can also establish a wired Internet connection via a total of four LAN ports.
- The price for the device in online retail is currently around 34 euros.
2. UMTS router: Netgear MBRN3000
- With the Netgear MBRN3000, you can set up WLANs using the included docking station. This is connected to the router via USB.
- The WLAN performance is a maximum of 300 Mbit / s. The 2.4 GHz frequency band is used. There are also four Ethernet ports on the router.
- In online trading, you currently pay around 35 euros for the Netgear MBRN3000.
3. UMTS router: TP-Link TL-MR3020
- If you are looking for a UMTS router without antennas, you are well advised with the TP-Link TL-MR3020. The device allows transfer rates of up to 150 Mbit / s.
- A LAN connection is also on board. Thanks to WPA / WPA2 encryption, you can easily set up a secure network on the go.
- You can currently order the TP-Link TL-MR3020 online for around 29 euros.
UMTS router: which one is right for me?
- If you are looking for a compact UMTS router without antennas and are satisfied with a maximum transmission speed of 150 Mbit / s, the TP-Link TL-MR3020 is a good choice.
- The other two models allow faster data rates, which make little difference in practice. The Netgear MBRN3000 and the TP-Link TL-MR3420 have more LAN connections for cable-based Internet.
