Hide apps in Android 4.3's stock launcher
- Go to the homescreen, press the menu button and select "Launcher Settings".
- Go to "Apps"> "Hidden Apps".

Hide apps in Nova Launcher
- Tap and hold an app in the app drawer and drag it to "Edit" in the top right corner.
