Unitymedia: Sky received - how it works
If you want to receive Sky via Unitymedia, you can do this in several ways. The two companies work closely together so that an existing Sky subscription can also be taken over. We show you both options.
Not yet a Sky customer: Receive Sky via Unitymedia
Note: Unitymedia customers in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse receive different SmartCards for reception than in Baden-Württemberg and are therefore somewhat limited in the range of Sky programs. No connections are available for channels such as "Sky on Demand" and "Sky 3D" in these federal states.
- At Unitymedia you have several options to receive the content from Sky. If you do not use the Unitymedia TV offer, you can only book the Sky Welt package on request.
- If you are already a TV customer at Unitymedia, you need the DigitalTV ALLSTARS or DigitalTV HIGHLIGHTS package for 15 or 8 euros per month. You can then book individual Sky packages.
- Unitymedia offers the packages "Fußball Bundesliga", "Film" and "Sport". If you book a package, you pay 29 euros per month, two packages cost 42 euros, all three packages 52 euros.
- On the following Unitymedia website you can view the costs and services and book a Sky package on request.
Already a Sky customer: Sky received via Unitymedia
- If you are already a Sky and Unitymedia customer, you can also receive Sky directly via the Unitymedia smartcard, so you only need one receiver and do not have to switch constantly.
- Simply call Sky customer service and have your customer number and smart card number ready. Request the transfer of your Sky subscription to the Unitymedia smartcard. Nothing changes in your contract with Sky.
- Of course, the whole thing works the other way around. You can also receive the Unitymedia channels with the Sky receiver and your Sky Smartcard. However, Unitymedia recommends rebooking from Sky to Unitymedia.
