Create signature on Mac: This is how it works with the preview
With Mac OS X you can quickly create your signature and use it to sign PDF documents. You can find out how this works in this guide.
Mac OS X: Create signature with the preview - how it works
- Open the PDF or image you want to sign in Mac OS X Preview.
- Call up the "Settings" in the "Preview" menu and switch to the "Signature" tab. Click on "Create signature".
- Put your signature on a white piece of paper. A black felt pen or ballpoint pen is best suited. Hold the sheet in front of your Mac iSight camera and position the signature on the blue line. Click "Accept" as soon as the signature is correct.
- If you check the box "Save this signature for later use before the preview ends", the signature is saved. So you don't have to create them every time.
