Uplay down - you can do that
We'll show you what to do when Uplay is down.
Uplay is down - how to solve the problem
If Uplay is down, i.e. not reachable, there are various reasons for this. Accordingly, there is no uniform solution to the problem. So if you can't download or start games or can't even log in to Uplay, follow these tips step by step:
- Make sure you are using the latest version of the Uplay client. Normally this should always update automatically, but you can also download and install the latest version here.
- Start the Uplay client with administrator rights. To do this, right-click the "Uplay.exe" file in the installation directory and select "Run as administrator".
- In order to use Uplay without restrictions, you need an active internet connection. Therefore, make sure that you have unrestricted and uninterrupted access to the Internet.
- In rare cases, your firewall or virus scanner may block the Uplay client so that it can no longer access the Internet. Therefore, switch off your security software as a test and check whether the problem has been resolved. If this is the case, you have to create corresponding exception rules.
- However, the servers of Uplay may not be accessible at the moment. In this case, they have no choice but to wait for the problem to be resolved. You can check, for example, whether Uplay is currently offline with the online service isitdownrightnow.com.
Tip: Use offline mode from Uplay
If Uplay is still down, you can help yourself with the offline mode. However, please note that not all functions of your games may be available:
- First click on "Settings" on the login screen.
- Now check the "Always start Uplay in offline mode" checkbox.
- Restart the Uplay client.
- You can switch off the offline mode later in the settings in the "Network" area by removing the corresponding check mark.
