Connecting your own Steam account with Uplay brings real advantages. Rewards from the Uplay system can also be received directly on Steam and all successes are synchronized between the two systems. We show you how both systems can be linked.
How to get all the Uplay features on Steam
If you want to get Uplay success for played Ubisoft games on Steam, an account link must be created. How to link both accounts:
- Start your Steam client and go to your game library.
- Start a Ubisoft game here and wait for an account link to suggest in the game.
- A Steam login window should appear. If you already have the Uplay PC client open at the same time, you will now be automatically logged in here. Otherwise, simply log in with your Uplay account data.
- When finished, click "Link Accounts" to confirm.
Add Uplay internal games to Steam
What an account link does not bring with it, is the possibility to play games purchased from Uplay in Steam. But there is a simple solution for this: You can add these as non-steam games to your own Steam library.
- To do this, open Steam and click on the penultimate point, "Games" in the menu bar. A dropdown menu will open. Here you select the last option "Add non-Steam game to my library".
- In the list of programs, select the Uplay game you want to add to Steam. If this is not listed, you must find it using the "Search" button in the file explorer. (Make sure to add the appropriate .exe file.)
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all the Uplay games you want to import are ticked in the list that now appears.
- In the last step, you only have to confirm the import of the games using the "Add selected programs" button.
