In this article, we'll explain if you can bypass Uplay. The Ubisoft game client is even required when Steam is already running. It is particularly annoying and you just want to switch it off. Unfortunately, Uplay cannot be avoided, because Ubisoft is very strict with copy protection.

Bypass Uplay - is that possible?

Uplay is one of Ubisoft's copy protection measures and is considered to be very persistent. The client requires permanent internet access and is required for every current Ubisoft game.

• You can't bypass Uplay on Ubisoft's current games. Since Uplay is in contact with the Ubisoft servers every time the game starts and also during the game, the client must continue to run while playing.
• There are versions on the Internet that are exempt from the Uplay requirement. However, these are illegal and mostly contaminated with viruses.
• If you want to play your Ubisoft games without online constraint, you can start Uplay in offline mode. To do this, disconnect your internet connection or block Uplay in your firewall. Single player titles then work without problems.
