Allow uploads to Dropbox - so it'll work
If you would like to allow friends or colleagues to upload to your Dropbox without an account, you only need a small additional application.
Allow uploads to Dropbox - even without an account
The following instructions will help you especially if your friends do not have a Dropbox account. If it does, you can simply create a public folder.
- Open the DBinbox.com website and enter your desired name above. This will appear at the end of your upload link.
- If you then click on the "Connect with Dropbox" button, the availability of your name will be checked.
- Click the "Allow" button to confirm that the service can access your Dropbox. This is the only way to use the function.
- In the next step you can add an optional password that the uploader has to enter. Then click on "Save".
- Via the link "www.dbinbox / Test" everyone can upload any files after entering the password. Messages can also be typed and then uploaded as a text document. You must replace the word "Test" in the link with your own username (see step 1).
- In your Dropbox you will now find the "dbinbox" folder in the "Apps" folder. All uploaded files are hidden here.
