You can create a vacation plan very well with Excel. So you always keep an eye on the vacation of all colleagues or employees.
Create vacation plan with Excel
Open Excel on your PC. You can then create your vacation plan, for example:
- Use column A to provide the names of your employees.
- In the second cell of the first row (B1) enter the date, e.g. B. "January 1, 2015". In the third cell (C1) you simply count with "January 2nd, 2015" and so on.
- Then select the entire line in which you are dividing the time. Right-click on the marker and select the "Format Cells" option.
- Enter "90" degrees under "Orientation" and confirm with "OK". So the dates are vertical.
- Now you can fill out the plan: For example, if you find employee "Müller" in cell A6 and know that he will not be there on January 10, then select cell K6.
- Then click on "Home" in the task bar and select the fill icon in the "Font" section. Here you can choose any color. This is how you show that the employee will not be there at this time.
Alternatively: Use a ready-made vacation plan
If you don't have the time or desire to create your vacation plan yourself, then use Excel templates:
- You can find a ready-made vacation plan until 2020 in our download area.
- You can open and edit the template file as usual with Excel.
