Repair USB cable - how it works
You should repair a defective USB cable as soon as possible, as this is very often only limited or even no longer operational. In most cases, you can still do the repair yourself. This practical tip shows you how the do-it-yourself trick works.
Repair the USB cable yourself: shielding defective
With just a few steps, you quickly repaired the USB cable and thus restored the functionality:
- If the USB cable is damaged, you can repair the shield yourself. For this you need a pen made from a ballpoint pen and some adhesive tape.
- Simply wrap the spring over the fragile area so that it is connected to the cable again.
- If you don't have a feather on hand, you can also use a piece of thin wire or plasticine.
- To protect the cable, wrap the area with the spring completely with adhesive tape. Commercial tape is best for this, but normal scotch tape is also sufficient.
- The USB cable can now be used again.
