Unlock hidden wallpapers in OS X Mavericks
OS X Mavericks comes with a certain number of background images. However, it still contains many hidden ones that you usually cannot find. We'll show you how to get the additional wallpapers anyway.
Find hidden wallpapers in Mac OS X Mavericks in the Finder
- Switch to the Finder and select the "Go To" tab in the bar at the top of the screen.
- Click the "Go to Folder ..." button.
- In the following window, enter the text "/ Library / Screen Savers / Default Collections /" (without quotation marks).
- The Finder now opens a new window with four folders. Find a picture here.
- Just right-click on your picture and select "Set as desktop background".
On Mac, you can also set a video as a desktop background. We'll tell you how this works in another practical tip.
