If your monitor only supports HDMI and your PC only VGA, you can solve the problem with a VGA to HDMI adapter. We present two solid models.
Inexpensive adapter for VGA to HDMI
You can get the GANA VGA to HDMI converter for just under 10 euros. The adapter promises a high-resolution transmission with 1080p.
- On one side you connect the VGA cable from the PC, on the other side the HDMI cable leads from the adapter to the monitor. You can also transmit the sound by connecting an AUX cable from the computer to the adapter.
- In addition to the converter, the scope of delivery also includes an AUX cable and a USB cable. If the voltage is not sufficient, you must connect the adapter to the power using a USB cable.
- To do this, simply plug the USB cable into a USB port on your computer. If that is not enough or if the quality leaves something to be desired, connect the adapter to the socket using a power adapter.
Practical adapter for VGA to HDMI
With currently 13.39 euros, the VicTsing VGA to HDMI adapter is somewhat more expensive. For this, the VGA cable is included.
- At first glance, this adapter looks a bit more like cable clutter. However, you save the additional VGA cable for the surcharge.
- Due to the short length of the VGA cable, the adapter sits directly on the back of the PC. Ultimately, you save yourself a bit of cable clutter by not using a long VGA cable.
- Note: The two adapters can only convert from VGA to HDMI. For the reverse process you need an HDMI to VGA adapter.
