Dub the video - so it'll work
In this article, we show you how to dub your videos. Sometimes certain parts don't sound good because the microphone failed right there.
- You should definitely think about where you have to dub the video.
- For example, if you shot a scene on the beach but there is almost no sound from the wind, write it down.
- The easiest way to do this in your video editing program is to simply cut out the relevant section and edit it separately.
- Make a plan for how you would like to set to music.
- You don't have to record word for word. With the help of a voice overs you can also summarize the place of the video and simply explain what you did.
- If you want to do a voice over, you should make a small script beforehand. So make sure that you don't forget anything important.
Dub the video - how it works
When you have your plan and cut scenes ready, the rest is relatively easy. Apart from a microphone, you don't really need much either.
- With a program like Audacity you can record your own voice for a voice over.
- Don't despair if you've gotten into a spot: let the recording continue and just start again from the last spot in your script.
- You can mark anything you don't want and then cut it out.
- When you have finished recording, all you have to do is export it from Audacity and then place it under your video using the video editing program.

- Otherwise, you can also download the sound effects from the YouTube library.
- A sound library of this kind is particularly helpful for noises such as crackling paper or screaming. Especially if you do not have the right equipment for a suitable recording yourself.
