Video stream jerky - it may be because of it
If the video stream on portals such as YouTube, MyVideo or Vimeo suddenly jolts, the movie pleasure is quickly disrupted. Fortunately, in many cases you can put an end to the stuttering.
- Make sure that you have a good internet connection and that no one else is downloading anything. So the line is quickly used.
- You should also have good hardware. For example, the hard disk must not be full, otherwise the PC will work more slowly. If you are using a notebook, connect it to the charging cable to end any energy-saving modes.
- At the same time, you should pause all down- and uploads or updates so that you get the maximum speed.
- You can also try clearing your browser's cache to free up memory. We have provided instructions for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome.
- Use other browsers to check if the problem also occurs. If this is not the case and the video jerky in all browsers, an update for your graphics card may be available.
- In general, you should use a LAN connection to get more bandwidth and less stuttering.
- If the video does not run without jerky, you can only wait until the video is fully loaded. To do this, press the pause button shortly after starting.
