Video: insert subtitles - so it'll work

If you have a subtitle track that you want to insert into a video, you can do it with just a few clicks using the free VLC player. In this practical tip, we will show you how it works.
VLC Player: Insert subtitles in video
First download the VLC media player and install it on your computer. Open the program and do the following to insert subtitles into a video:
- If you haven't already, download the appropriate subtitles for your video. For example, the Opensubtitles page is ideal for this.
- In the VLC Player click on "Subtitles" in the menu and in the submenu on "Add Subtitle File".
- Select the downloaded file and click "Open".
- Click Play if you only want to play the video with subtitles. Click the arrow next to "Play" and select "Convert" if you want to save the file.
- Select the desired location under "Destination" and click on "Start".
- Depending on the size of the video, the process may take a few minutes. You will then find your video with the inserted subtitles in the selected location.
