Create a video file with multiple audio tracks
You can create video files with multiple audio tracks yourself in just a few steps, for example to enable multiple languages in a film. In this guide we explain how this works.
Insert multiple audio tracks into a video
Note: These instructions refer to Xmedia Recode 3.1.9.3. The tool is available for free download from CHIP Online.
- Drag and drop the desired video into Xmedia Recode.
- Select the file and select the desired output format under "Format".
- Click on "Audio" and under "Import" select the option "Open file". Mark one or more audio files that you want to include in the video as a soundtrack
- Click on "Open" to load them into the program. In the following window, select one of the files and confirm with "OK".
- You are now automatically back in the Xmedia Recode audio menu. The new audio track is now in the "Source" area. Check this.
- With a click on the arrow button you can now add the track as an audio stream.
- Repeat steps 4 through 6 if you want to add more audio tracks.
- If you now click on "Add job" in the top menu bar and then on "Encode", a video will be created which contains all the audio tracks added
