Videopad: create credits - how it works
With Videopad, creative credits can be created for every film. There is space for all participants, various logos and thanks. We show you how to insert all of this.
Create end credits with video pad: contributors, acknowledgments and graphics
After downloading the Videopad, you can create your own movie. In the end, only the credits are missing:
- Click the cursor at the end of your video and go to "Clips" at the top.
- Then select "Add Blank" to insert an empty clip. You can also use a text clip with "Add Text".
- Depending on the selection, fill the clip either with a color of your choice or with the text.
- With a click on "Add File" you can also add an image to your credits and include a logo, for example.
- At this point you have further options for editing the clip. In the next sections, we will show you how to create the two most popular credits and use effects.
1. Film credits run down
Now you can edit the clip even further by dragging it to the desired position in the timeline and determining further parameters by right-clicking on the clip.
- For classic end credits that end at the end of the movie, click "Effects"> "Move Down". The text of the clip moves down as the participants are listed.
- You can also choose how long the credits should be seen and how fast or slow the credits should move down.
2. Show contributors & Co.
In addition to the movie credits, you can also show contributors:
- After dragging the image, text, and other clips onto the timeline, click the square on the right edge of the clip. With a click on "Cross Fade" and "Fade" you define the aperture and also specify when and how long it should appear.
- Create a second video track and place the panels in front of and behind the credits clip. When playing, the contributors are then shown or hidden individually.
3. Use effects for the credits
You can make your end credits even more individual with effects. For example with these features:
- For effects, click on the "Effects" button at the top and then on "Waves" or "Mirror". For example, you can add waves or reflections to the end credits.
- Once the appropriate effects have been selected, you can move the clip to the right place in the timeline and set the length and music.
Film tip: In addition to the credits, additional elements can be inserted and edited using the video pad: We will show you how to add a subtitle to the film in another practical tip.
